Explore Middletown Township’s extensive trail network.

The Hike
Join Connect Edgmont as we explore Middletown Township’s Rocky Run Trail. We’ll access the trail from the back parking lot of the Rocky Run YMCA and hike 3 miles through former Wawa Dairy Farm fields and along the wooded banks of Rocky Run.
The Rocky Run Trail is located primarily on Natural Lands’ Wawa Preserve. The western end of the Rocky Run Trail connects to Middletown’s Darlington and Cornucopia Trails via a primitive (aka no bridge) stream crossing. We will not be crossing the creek on our hike. To the northeast, the Rocky Run Trail passes by Fair Acres, through Lima Estates and eventually connects to Tyler Arboretum and Ridley Creek State Park.
This hike is approximately 3 miles long. We’ll hike on mowed grass paths and dirt trails. Sections of the trail are rocky and may be muddy if it has rained recently. Children and leashed dogs are welcome, but please note there is broken glass on the trail in a few areas.
