As Spring approaches we’re looking forward to getting outside and connecting with one another. Here are a few upcoming events to get us all started:
Sunday, March 20th: Connect Edgmont Hike (9:00AM)
Please join us for CE’s first guided hike! Explore the beautiful Darlington Trail in neighboring Middletown Township with CE Co-Founders Steve and Annie. We’ll meet at the trailhead on Darlington Road and hike a 2 mile loop. The trail crosses an unused section of the old R3 railroad and offers views of Chester Creek and farmland. Please be prepared for rocks, hills and the occasional muddy spot. Children and leashed dogs are welcome. For more information visit the Darlington Hike event page.
Saturday March 26th: 24th Annual CRC Streams Cleanup (9:00AM)
Work side by side with your neighbors to help clean up our local creeks and streams! Volunteers will meet at the Edgmont Square Shopping Center at 9AM to receive instructions. Email Lacey (lfaber@edgmont.org) if you’d like to volunteer.
Saturday April 16th: Edgmont Township Easter Egg Hunt (10:30AM)
Edgmont Township is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt for Township residents 12 and under. The event will take place at the Edgmont Township Community Park from 10:30 a.m. until all the eggs are gone.
Saturday, June 11th: Edgmont Township Streams Learning Day (9:30AM)
The Township is partnering with Willistown Conservation Trust and the CRC Watersheds Assoc. to present a Streams Learning Day! The event will be held in Ridley Creek State Park and will give residents the opportunity to learn about water quality, the surrounding natural habitat, and why streams are so important to our environment.
Saturday, September 10th: Edgmont Community Day (11AM-4PM)
Save the date! The Township is planning a Community Day at Arasapha Farms (Bates Motel).
